  After transferring from a community college, I found that my reading schedule increased dramatically. In today’s post, I thought I would share the books I read in my first semester at a four-year university. Although the amount of reading I had to do in school increased, the content I was reading became much more helpful. While in community college, the required books were very general and tended not to provide a variety of opinions in most cases. However, most books were supplemented with other articles and self-guided research. I will not show all of the reading material I read through because this would be a very long post, and some classes just gave me bits and pieces of different works. In my first year of college, I found myself a little lost in what to buy for college; so many people told me to buy all these materials, and I realized I was not going to need them. So here are the basic supplies you need to buy before starting classes.     Pencils This might sound like I am an eighty-year-old person. But pencils are essential for me. I started taking notes on my computer, then pens, and then I had to switch to pencils, and I prefer taking tests and generally writing with pencils. As a history/archeology major, I take a lot of handwritten notes, and my hands can start to hurt very fast. However, my mom got me thicker pencils in elementary school, and I loved using them. So I decided to find these pencils and use them once again. These pencils are typically for children learning to write but help save my hand.
